About Us

If you are visiting our website we have a common interest. This website is dedicated to helping us promote our hobby and our Club. We are a group of individuals from age 18 to 85. We model in HO and various other scales. We are all train enthusiasts and are all having lots of fun.

Our Club has been in Barrie since 1964, and we have had a number of different layouts and many train shows over the years.

We share our enthusiasm on Tuesday nights by continuing to build a new HO scale layout at our Club and operating our portable show layout. We also host a Model Train Show every February.  As well, we attend shows sponsored by other clubs such as Midland, Bracebridge, Toronto etc. We also visit layouts constructed by other Clubs or by individuals in their basements.

We are all about sharing our knowledge and having fun.

Our members have many skills levels from basic knowledge to those who specialize in one or more aspects of the hobby : such as framing, DCC, and or track laying, scenery, building kit construction, etc.

The Club is there to allow Members to help each other by sharing information. This allows Members a support group to either build our new club layout, or to build their own home layout. Members may also work on aspects of the club layout at home, such as constructing a building kit, or making trees, etc .

It doesn’t matter what scale you model, or even if you have a layout, or what level of modelling skills you have. If you are interested in model trains or trains in general, join our Club or continue to visit us at this website.

You are always welcome to come to one of our meetings or become a member by calling Henk at 705-722-8364 or by filling out the “contact us ” form.

Don’t forget to come to our popular train show each February,

Model railroaders are on the right track!
