About Us

Club History ;

The club was founded in the mid sixties as the Lake Simcoe Railroad modelers.

Since then the club has built and dismantled several layouts in both HO and N scale at several locations in Barrie.In 1989 the club commenced construction on our Lake Simcoe portable HO scale layout..

In 1991 the clubs name was changed to Barrie Allandale Railroad Modelers to reflect the geographic location of the club.


The friendly club ;

Our club is a meeting place for railway modelers and those interested in model railways of all kinds.We have an opportunity to meet and share our enthusiasm with like minded individuals. Those who wish to can work on or operate are HO layouts. Our goal is to promote the hobby of model railroading and trains .

We meet every Tuesday night at our club house in Barrie at 6:30 PM. Those that would like to attend a meeting to just visit , or with a view to becoming a club member , please use the contact form and we will be in touch with you to make arrangements to visit us.
